Several proposed amendments to the Kunamokst Lodge Standing Rules have been submitted to the lodge executive committee (LEC) for consideration.
In accordance with Article XX of the lodge rules, all proposals must be published on the lodge website a minimum of 21 days prior to the LEC meeting in which a vote will take place. This is to allow the lodge membership to review and provide feedback on the proposed changes.
These proposed amendments are scheduled for the August 30, 2026, LEC meeting agenda. Lodge members are encouraged to review the proposed changes and submit their feedback or comments using the form below.
Following approval by the LEC, the proposed amendments will be sent for a vote by the general youth membership of the lodge at Fall Fellowship on October 3, 2026 and will take effect immediately.
Proposed Changes
The below document shows all proposed changes and additions to the lodge rules. Changes are marked inline in the document in red.
Here is a summary of the proposed changes:
- Terminology Changes: Changes in some terms to align with new national policies, procedures, or publications.
- “Ordeal) changed to “Induction”
- “Inductions Handbook” changed to “Induction Administration Handbook”
- “Ordeal candidates” or “candidates” change to “New Members”
- Addition of Induction Vice Chief: Addition of a new elected lodge officer to oversee the induction process. Duties from other officers and committees were consolidated into this role.
- Administrative Vice Chief Name Change: Changing “administrative vice chief” to “membership vice chief” to better clarify the role and avoid confusion.
- Removal of Elangomat Committee: Under the new induction process, this committee is no longer applicable.
- Merchandising Committee Name & Role Change: Changing “merchandising committee” to “trading post committee” and redefining and consolidating the responsibilities.
- Officer Responsibility Changes: Several slight changes to officer responsibilities to add clarity, better align with the lodge’s operations, and to make adjustments due to the addition or consolidation of other roles.
- Lodge Event List Changes: Replaced “lodge officer training” and “chapter officer training” events with “Lodge Leadership Development” to align with lodge’s revised vision of officer training.
- Renumbering: Several clauses were renumbered due to additions and removals.
